Excuse the rant but I just cannot believe the unprofessionalism of some of these "great" dealers I hear about. I've emailed one company several times asking if they would split a pair up (their site claims "no minimum orders." and they simply do not respond. I've asked sellers to send another pix because the fish looks like there's something wrong with it (fin outlined in white, or a lump, etc.) and I get no further response. Are my expectations unreasonable? I don't think so. I spent over $45 on my last boy, and probably $100 in meds because the seller sent me a fish with a tumor (you may remember my posts) Geez, all I want is one healthy male betta - is that too much to ask?

no, you aren't being unreasonable. i have had the same problem with a certain seller. there is one who sells fish they call halfmoons but they are obviously not at all, i've asked about it and they never respond lol. which seller is this?

Well.. I guess it narrows down your selection then.
At least you know now not to do business with them ever again.
And if it's on like aquabid you could give them a bad review perhaps warning others of your experience.

I have lots of sellers that say they never got my mail and it went into their spam box. But once you complain to aquabid or ebay they magically get all your e-mails after that!!!

If they're selling, and having issues with getting e-mails because of their spam filters, you would think they would alter the spam settings. If they're ACTUALLY have issues with the filtering, then I'm sure yours is not the only they're losing. Most likely, they're just being obtuse.

so far i havent had any problems with the breeders iv worked with, but the latest breeder iv worked with was samson her on aquabid. i ordered 2 males and females from him and asked lots of questions over the course of afew days including who the parents are, age, and what conditions they were being kept in(ial/no ial, tank size ect.) and every single question i asked was answered usually within afew hours.

Right, that's always been my experience on Ebay with other products. My questions are short and simple: can I just buy one instead of a pair, or, will you consider less for a particular betta, etc. guess these people don't want our money. hehe
