Breeder size tanks is a designation given by a long term US tank manufacturer, All-Glass, which is now Aqueon; http/www.aqueonproducts.com/products/standard-aquariums.htm

Breeder size tanks are generally shallower with a larger surface area & footprint. Due to this you can stock more heavily, as breeders are known to do, thus the designation Breeder.
