I have a 90 gal with a red devil, pike, pleco, convict, and jack dempsey

today a little (not trying to be funny) nubby penis thing popped out the bottom of the red devil and he sprayed some kind of brownish liquid that disolved in the water.

what in the world happened? what is this? why is it doing this?
