What Glue/silicone To Use?

ok its a little off topic im sure but the part of the forum this should go in is so slow (turtles etc)


anyhow im trying to make a platform, which sits just above the water level of the tank. i want to stick in a little shelf for the platform to 'sit' on and also need to stick gravel onto the platform. now i understand i must use aquarium silicone to glue the little glass brackets in with. but what do i use to stick graven onto the wooden platform??

The silicone - thin layer onto what you want the gravel to stick, then gravel over it, leave it to sit for 24 hours and shake off the excess - its like doing glitter pictures at school - remember??!!

aw yeah used to love doing that. perhaps i should let my son do it (supervised of course!)

I went to the LFS picked up some name brand SIlicone and he told me to put it back and get "ARBOSIL", as it is cheaper and you get alot more of it. As long as you have the silicone gun that is. Was nice of them

Sounds like a good idea, just dont let him stick his fingers together
