What Fish To Put In My Tank.

just to say, my tank is about 14.5 gallons and I had tetra in there (neons) and they were fine, they had to go unfortunately back to lfs due to fin nipping.

So basically depending on what fish you have the inch per gallon rule might give or take a few. If you have plecos or snails, doesn't really take into play since they stick to the glass out of the way anyways.

 This is a bizarre theory.

Plecs definitely count when it comes to stocking, more than many other fish as they produce a lot of waste.

Personally having seen what 2 Bristlenose plecs can produce in solid waste (never mind the waste that I can't see! ) in my 3 foot, unless I could be bothered to do tons of substrate cleaning I would definitely think twice about putting all but the very smallest of plecs in a 2 foot as they would be fin deep in s*** by the end of the week
