Hay, im thinking of getting back into fish keeping soon, used to have a 60L tank, but gave it away a few years ago, i now want to get back into the hobby but want a bigger tank, over 150L. Any help and recommendations would be very gratefully accepted, i was thinking of either a Juwel Rio 180, because they look excellent, or a Fluval Roma 200, for the space and extra equipment, but i've heard these have leaking and sealant problems. Anyway, i don't mind spending £250 - £300 (more if i love it) and only have room for a 80 - 100cm long and 30 - 40cm wide tank, heights not a problem :) thanks in advance.

Some of our UK members should be able to comment on the general nature and quality of the Juwel and Fluval ranges of tanks. I have no idea as these are not at all available in the USA as far as I know. Many members write about them quite a bit though.

Larger tanks do give you much greater flexibility in choosing species and their changes in chemistry are much slower, giving you more time to react and make appropriate changes without swinging things in the other direction too far.

Good luck with your project!

Personally I loved my fluval roma 125 so would have to recommend the roma 200. Filterwise I would always go for fluval. I wouldn't go for the juwel unless it has a decent filter, if it's an inbuilt job then you'll probably find you want to replace it anyways so it seems silly buying the juwel tank in the first place.

Im selling my Roma 240 :hey: good tank but I need something bigger
