What Fish Do I Have?

mollies they need brackish water

Mollies don't need brackish water... It is not necessary... They benefit from a little salt, but you don't have to worry about this fishcake.

Cheers...

....agreed........ :good:

Fish in the other pics look like Rainbows........could be Bosemani's.......google the name for an image (i.e. google Bosemani Rainbow)

So this leaves u with;

2 Goldfish
2 Mollies
2 Sailfin Mollies
3 Panda Cories
2 Rainbows

This isnt a disaster except for the Goldfish which definately need rehoming. Not only do they have different temperature requirements but they are bullies regarding food and will also leave a lot of mess.

If you are intending to keep the rest I would add 3 more Rainbows, and 2 more Pandas as they both like to be in groups, making them feel more secure.

Sorry, the bottom fish are cories also, just probably older, hence bigger. I have these and cant find the name anywhere. These will probably be ok with the pandas so you shouldnt need to add anymore cories.

yup your right mollys and rainow fish pictures match perfect just the spotty ones left. the others are danios ive found them too.

my other half as just told me the others we had have died. he scooped them out this morning. wondered why i couldnt find them. but the neighbours just dumped them in from a jug cos they were short of time. so perhaps they died from shock. most of the others i did the bag floating thing but they told me not to bother, only the goldfish got dumped in and they seem okay.

i didnt dump the goldfish they did. im not that cruel.

so i have;

2 rainbow fish
3 panda corys
4 mixed mollys.
3 spotty danios
and 3 possible corys.

My other half said the dead ones he was told were humbug fish (?) and the 3 that look like corys are something-or-other catfish he thinks it began with p or o.

any clues???

the food i have is tretra prima mini granules, and tetrafin gold japan "premium food for fancy goldfish" apparently there are loads of bloodworms "chucked in there"

Im glad i know what they mostly are now.

thank you everyone for all your kind help.

The 3 that look like cories are in fact cories, just a different type but with the same requirements, i.e size an food as the Pandas.

p may= plec whch it isn't
and
omay= otto which it isn't either
