I have a new 330l tank being delivered shortly and would just like to know what external filter people would recommend getting??

Aqua mantas range is super for flow, good built and really over all ease of use. Well worth a look into at any maidenhead store.

UGF or HOB

aquaclear 110 or something similar

i would defiantly go for an external canister :D give you less equipment in the tank and give more options and easier to clean to :D

how do you figure a canister filter has less equipment in the tank, compared to a HOB?

all a HOB filter has inside the tank is one single intake tube, thats it

tbh mikey i have no idea what a hob is :p haha i was more talking about the normal internal filter's plus with a canister you can have your co2 diffuser and heaters outside the tank too can that be done with a HOB? no idea what the hob is :p but il reaserch it now :D

HOB = Hang on back

filters that hang on the back of the tank....

google "aquaclear 110" or "aquaclear 500"....one of the best filters ever made (in my opinion)

cool ye look alright not my sort of filter tho i prefer canisters my opinion tho :) are they easy to clean?

very easy to clean....

the media is in a basket that just lifts right out....you can actually leave the filter running while you remove the media.....all you need to do is lift the plastic cover off and pull the basket out....rinse the media and put it back into the filter.....done

every once in awhile you need to clean the inside of the filter, so that requires stopping the filter and lifting it off the tank, but thats only every 4-6 months
