What Do You Think Of These Fish?

This is aimed at everyone out there who owns Emperor Tetras.
I was thinking of getting some but i am unsure.

What do you think of these fish?

Would you recommend them and why?

Oh they are stunning fish , i will again keep them one day, i used to have some a loooong time ago,

They're OK. I would not keep them again in a hurry, maybe when I can have all my tanks back.. They are quite bulky, so really do need their space, I had them in an 80 litre tank and they did look cramped a bit. I also found them to be quite naughty (bothered other fish) unless there were about 10 or so. Also there is another species which looks very similar to Nematobrycon palmeri, but is considerably more aggressive so be careful when buying to make sure all the fish are of the same species. I can't remember the name of the #19### species, but I do remember that the easiest way to tell them apart was the eye colour and the nasty one had a soft (second) dorsal, as well as a normal spiny dorsal.

Inpaichthys kerri, these obtain around 3.5cm fullgrown, there more peaceful,obviously for the very peacful community

I've got 7 (all males) that I had from my mum as she was over-run with them. They're one of the few egg-laying fish that can over-populate your tank quite easily!

They're a lot of fish for not a lot of colour in my eyes; I wouldn't have them again on purpose. Having said that, they're peaceful and seem to be quite hardy and what colour they do have is quite attractive; they do get a nice purpley glow on them and they're a very active fish; always on the go, but not in a bad way.

To be fair to them, I should point out that one of my kids really loves them; he says they're his favourites after the Tiger Barbs and the Oscar, so that's a vote for them!

They certainly won't give you any trouble (apart from the breeding!) if you do decide to have them.

wow they are really pretty!

unfortunatly i dont think my tank is big enough
