What are you doing today?

Running has taken a turn for the better for me . I’ve done seven miles twice in the past ten days and yesterday was great . Snow in the Beartooth Mountains and a rainy morning cooled off the temperature to 62 degrees and I did seven in 1:11:55 , that’s a 10:17 per mile average. Nothing like when I was younger but Wednesday I’ll be closer to 70 than 69 and I’m really happy . Yes , I’m really happy that I can do this at my age .

Still in progress. I want the scuds first and they are not yet locally available.
I have my scuds and hardly ever see them . Secretive little creatures . I see one come out for a look around every so often but not too often . That story that they devour hair algae ? I’ve got a lot of it in my scud aquarium and they aren’t putting a dent in it .

It would be nice if my scuds helped with tank cleaning but I doubt that I to worry about it with a few Panda Garra. ;)

I'm thinking about getting a couple panda Garra for my 29g. They don't live in Inle, but G. gravelyi/rotundinasus does. Those aren't available in the hobby and I can see why. That's a fish only a mother could love...

LOL! At first look I thought it was something you did as a grilling. ;)

I wish I could run. I'm the guy you want at your side if a grizzly appears. I'd just have to stand there and say ouch.

I've never been able to run distance, and was always slow. I could skate fast though, and I expect still can, to a degree, but it doesn't help in summer.

I can still run at 70 years old. I can honestly say that I am at top speed after two steps. Sadly it gets slower after those first two steps. ;)

I was the big skinny kid whose bones rattled when he ran. Elegance and grace were my middle name, and like the middle name my parents gave me, I kept them well hidden.

I admire those who can run distance. I'm currently dealing with a hip problem, but soon I'll be doing long walks again. Maybe I'll be secretly running, but I've spent so much time keeping fish I'll have the speed of a man running underwater.

When I was 17 I suffered 21 fractures below the waist, and that's counting crushed foot as a single fracture.
Today I can walk fine and many people don't even notice the limp. But If I am 20 metres away when the bus pulls in to the stop I'll wait for the next bus (unless the driver is in a particularly good mood).

I'll be 72 in a couple of weeks, and have just been diagnosed with osteoarthritis in my left foot. It hurts to walk but now I know what it is I'll just put up with it. I was worried before the diagnosis that it was something which would be made worse by walking.
The foot, coupled with lower back pain and the odd shooting pain down the same leg as the foot means I now need a walking stick as my leg can give way with the pain. Running with a walking stick is impossible (for me at least).

Since my bargain with my wife was not to exceed 8 tanks, I am closing down two 5 gallon shrimp tanks and starting up a new 20 gallon long. The tank was on sale at PETCO for $34. I couldn’t turn it down. So far it has passed the leak test. Once cycled it will house a pair of a. cacatuoides I want to breed. The shrimp will go in my nano tank.
