What are you doing today?

I worked out in the gym today. I try to go to the gym 5 times per week but I was out of town recently. It is amazing how quickly one can loose strength and endurance when you are 72 years old and have taken a hiatus from working out. Now I’m preparing to experience Richard Goode, renowned pianist, perform a Beethoven program at 5:30 pm. Goode is amazing.

I actually host an image site. No bells or whistles just storage although you can have all the albums you want as sub albums to your main. Yje UI would likely also look a bit odd. It was put up for some photographer friends and does zero compression on uploaded images so what you put up is what you see,
I will try soon.

Yesterday I took several photos from a park close to home. I will have to edit the photos first, however.

OK, I just changed the registration from admin approval to email confirmation. Let me know if you have any problems and don't expect any bells and whistles.

BTW, five things...
  1. The gallery software is free but I heavily modified. For instance, on the photo display pages, I wrote a bit of code to disable the right mouse click so no one can right click and do a save image.
  2. Unless you set your albums as private anyone can see but only you will have permission to download in the left hand menu options for an image. Just like, if you view another person's albums, you will not have the download options. Of course, as the site admin, I can see everything even it your albums are set to private.
  3. You can select what image sizes you want. For instance you can select to resize to several different sizes and it is automatically done. and the original and resized images are all available.
  4. When on an image display page there will be an option on the left for item URL. This will give some options, both HTML and BBCode that can be copied to link to a forum or web site. In either case it supplies code to copy for showing a link to the image page,
Show image directly, Show a clickable resized image linking to the original and Show a clickable thumbnail linking to the original.
  5. You can watermark your images on-site but you need to upload the watermark image.
Like I said, I put up the site for photographer friends so everything is setup as such. If you want to see some really nice pics look at the albums for Karen Carlson, Fred MacKinnon and SherA. Actually SherA helped me with the page header banner. The original image had a Microsoft flag where the disk with the "Journey to the center of your web" shows. Don't know where she stands now but, at the time she helped, she was rated in the top 100 world wide as to Photoshop. She also does a danged good bass guitar and is totally beautiful in a punk/goth way. ;)
This is SherA but several years ago.

Some pictures I took from the park. It seems to be Mata Atlântica.

Spring. I never measured pH from the water.

Do you know the Chevrolet Astra (based on the Opel Astra G)? It was a big success. Good performance and level of equipment, reliable engine. I drove one from my uncle, with a good manual transmission and silent (as most of the Astras sold here). Despite the alloy wheels, no airbags or antilock brakes. Culturally, many consumers used to prefer visual over safety (as a symbol of status, since cars are expensive, until today). This is still nowadays, but we have had considerable improvements.

@Lanpenn the pictures from the park are really interesting. Cars? They're everywhere, and nothing special. But the places they take us to are great to see. Things that probably seem ordinary to you - the trees, the plant growth patterns, the small streams - they are interesting to aquarists who live in different habitats.

Someday, I'll see Brazil. For now, more photos!

How dare you.
I just took the dog out front for a walk up the driveway and back, after she'd eaten. In that short time, 13 cars and 4 pickup trucks drove by.
I didn't see one single Brazilian stream or undergrowth area roll by in front of my house! One of these things is not like the other!

I have some pics of them on mars, if you want I'll post them. I can even have you a web findable coca cola can.

Transport is the only thing that will get you elsewhere.
LOL! I MUST disagree. ;)

Transportation will get you to a different location but not "elsewhere". To get to "elsewhere" you sort of need things that a lot of places don't exactly consider legal. ;)

Transportation always goes elsewhere.

Cars have even proven you can ride on earth and the moon...
Why would it be different anywhere else in the universe ?

If you think you could get further than the wheel, in a hop !!! it's the first realization of consciousness.

Once you hopped, The wheel remains what took movement going.

And remains the pillar of motion. like in our universe.

And We yet don't understand even how molecules travels...

In circles.

Catch it it and time is no longer a barrier.

But still the first thing you will need and bring with you, is wheels.

Don't get me wrong. Cars are useful tools. Among other things, they are very useful for moving fishtanks and getting places for catching aquarium fish. When people show photos of cars, even in the chat section of a fish site, I want to see cargo space. Will it hold a 120?

They're beloved tools though, so show them as you will. Some of my best friends are car worshippers (as well as nature worshippers like me). I'd still like to see more photos from that Brazilian eco park, and more info on what's growing in there. Maybe we need a chat thread where people post nothing but pictures of places they've found or could find cool fish....
