What are you cooking?

That's now I do them too. No mayo, no Miracle Whip, no lettuce, just wall to wall tomato & bacon on dry, preferably wheat, toast.

That is how I discovered I was allergic to tomatoes when we grew our own. I had fresh tomatoes almost every day, often 2 or 3x/day. I was breaking out in tiny zits & thought too much bacon! So I quit the bacon & it got even worse!! So now I only eat tomato every other day or 3. I'm sorry sometimes if I get a "tomato hangover" but rarely a rash; tomatoes are worth the risk!

Sorry, TMI
I have to have my Miracle Whip on bacon and tomato. Also, a LOT of black pepper.

Thinking mayo or whip... If you do grilled cheese try using mayo on the outside instead of butter. Makes it taste sort of like sour dough.

I’m sold on Trader Joe’s organic Mayo. Fantastic flavor.

gwand, I'll check out TJs mayo sometime, husband just bought a jar of his preferred brand. We don't use it too often. I'm planning on at least a 5 lb wedding/vacation weight gain soon. It's having to eat all meals out & sitting a lot driving & socializing. Any weight comes off more slowly these days :( Is this your Indian theme or mountaintop wedding trip? I know some things are different at high altitudes, maybe that works for less weight gain? LOL

We had cheese steaks yesterday & leftovers for tonight. Just typing that gave me a little hunger pang. That was our reward for getting new cell phones & service. TY ATT, your store helpers were extremely patient & helpful with 2 clueless former flip phone users.

Not yet sure what is on tonight's menu. It will either be simple cheese burger and fries or sliced boneless pork chop done Asian with a variety of sauces depending if I want sweet or hot. LOL! With me hot often wins.

A little sweet & hot can work, especially with pork!
Actually, since the pork is thawing, and the egg noodles are out, it will probably be the Asian. I'll use a sweet chili sauce which has some heat and sweet. When I want hot I use an orange sauce that will leave a bit of burn on your tongue tip.

Actually the hot orange sauce is quite good with chicken wings. ;) Much better than normal buffalo sauce which I'm not all that fond.

I don't make my own Asian sauces as I am really bad at it. I use bottled sauces that are quite good. They are from a fast food Asian place called Panda Express and they also sell to stores. Fortunately for me my local grocery happens to carry the brand.

Tonight's Asian will include some broccoli, pearl onions and bell pepper.

Panda Express is a few doors down from the cheese steak shop yesterday. But we hadn't had cheese steaks since the Super Bowl. No football, no baseball, but cheese steaks! They're heating now...

Last Sunday I held a BBQ for 8 family members. Main course…Filet Mignon along with roasted Potatoes and Broccoli. Apple pie, ice cream and brownies for dessert. Oh… and of course- watermelon.
