when i brought home my new oscar yesterday, i took him out of the bag and into the tank, and with him about 10 very small white worms, they were wriggling up to the surface and i cant see them now, but what were they-and most importantly are the harmful to jambo ( as i put the O in there to start off with)
i remeber seeing them in one of my biorbs once but as i was very tired i thought it was my imagination

any help?
shelagh xx

you're not talking about the little white worms that cling to the glass are you? only about 1mm? is so, then its no big deal. it just means that your lfs doesnt to frequent water changes. other than that, i have no idea.

Planaria most probably, harmless and if jambo finds em will most probably eat em

oh thats ok then, they wernt on the glass they were swimming straight upwards, he probably has scoffed them cos i cant see them now

They usually hide in the substrate, so if they do come up and he sees them, im sure they will be a snack :)

planaria, harmless. mention it to your lfs though, usually a sign of over feeding.
