yeah, Ian trained as a chef and a few months ago he finally consented to me being allowed to use his chef's knifes (i do all the cooking) and they've made a massive difference. they're mostly victorinox ones

i bought a set of Jamie Oliver's and a Set of Anolon's
it gone 50% off in Debenhams-- so i grabbed it---

each set cost £200-- 5pcs each set---
so i got it for £100

we have a set of Sabiteur (sp?) here. a chef mate reccomended them to me a few years ago, you have to be careful with them though as they sell their name to inferior knife manufactorers apparently.
