What Age Can You Sex Guppies?

At what can you sex guppies, is it 3 months??

A good magnifying glass helps a lot to sex them early

So - you always look for the gravid spot to sex your guppy fry?

I can often sex mine by a few weeks. Females will have little tiny gravid spots usually. If you look very closely at the anal fin, though, you can vaguely see some are more pointed then others. It's a very small difference, but when you've raised hundreds of Guppies, you start to notice these things.

Do they start becoming sexually active at 3 months?

They can start mating anytime a male has a gonopodium. That can be earlier then three months, or later. It depends on how fast your males develop. You have to get them out of there fast though, you'll be surprised how quick they can sneak a mating in, and then you have fry for a long time to come.
