last night, as most of you know, my beloved guinea pig died
for those of you that aren't following,
the original post is SEEN HERE

you would not believe what i have just witnessed :-(
my brother hopped our fence where there is a small creek and many blackberry bushes to dig poor Yoshi a grave
i had yoshi wrapped in a towel, then in a box, which was sealed in plastic
i ran inside to grab the phone, came out and the box was gone
i immediatley felt sick and hoped that my brother had grabbed the box when i went inside
as i took a few more steps i saw shredded plastic and pieces of box
then a bit further, a towel  .....
then my dog standing over Yoshi's lifeless body with chunks of hair all around him    :-( :-( :-(
i scolded the dog, knowing i can't really blame her since we praise her for killing rats and possums (they are a big problem around here), but i yelled anyways
i took the towel and threw it over yoshi before i got sick
thankfully he was intact and you could not see where the hair was ripped out
i placed him in another box and sealed it again, then had my brother bury him
and tried my best to block the images and odor from my head
i must be being punished for something
it isn't bad enough my baby died, but he has to be used as a dog toy to?
i'm gunna be sick

Sorry to hear your gunia pig passed away, it is hard enough to cope with your loss let alone having that new image in your head. We had a simmilar thing happen with a hamster. Its always hard ! :(

i know :/
i love my dog dearly and i can't really get angry with her seeing as she is an animal, an animal that happens to be attracted to small animals as "prey"
its especially bad that she has samoyed in her, giving her wolf like traits
as horrible as this sounds, she smelled the dead animal smell and was determined to eat it
how is she to know the difference between a rat, wild rabbit or possum in comparison to my guinea pig
she knows i am mad and she is sulking because of it so i feel really bad

i tried to think of Yoshi's sweet little face and his wet little kisses that he loved to give, and the way he would prance and buck when he was feeling "frisky"
to get the grim images out of my head and it made me tear up thinking of how much i will miss him :*)

i just need a day or two to get used to this

awwww pointy, i think you need a big TFF hug.... :-(

*MAM gives pointy an encouraging hug*

It will get easier with time.
Like everyone has said remember the good times.
Soon you heart and mind will be full of all the good memories and the great emotions that he caused you to feel.

His soul and memory will live on forever
