Hi James, still some about, I counted 8 the other day but only 3 today there are probably a few more than that I'll try and do a proper head count at the weekend! how are your fry going?

Mine are doing good so far, im really pleased. I know what you mean with the counting, it is very hard. One day you'll see 3, then 10, and then 3 again. I think I have about 10-15 fry so Im quite pleased atm but I know the real challenge is getting them to adulthood.

Just to add, did my official head count today and managed to jar 18!!! think there are a couple more in the tank so make that around 20! in which case James you probably have 50 or so...

Bleeding hell, they know how to hide dont they I dont think I have that many tbh but who knows. Im glad things are going well and obviously your new CT has settled in nicely. You probably already said, but what girl did you breed him with?

The mum is a royal blue/red combtail that I had in the tank upstairs

Yes I did they are lovely, I have some pics of the boys which I can put up but will need to get some of the girls tomorrow as they are small and I haven't managed to get any good shots yet!

Here are the girls, they are tiny so I have separated them so I can make sure they are getting their fair share of food.

wow, they are nice. You must have so many tanks running atm but they are addictive. Ive got 5 boys right now! You planning on breeding them?

I have a few I have serious mts! may breed them at some point, the girls I got to go with them are too tiny at the mo plus I shouldn't really run any more tanks, plus I have far too many babies to take care of so need to devote my time to them... just gotta keep repeating this to myself.... you have more boys than me! I have 4 plus 6 girls, but that is not taking the babies into account so we do have many more!

Haha I know how it is. I currently have 3 girls, did have 5 but unfortunately lose two of the girls I got of you the other day. One had a type of parasite and one of un-known causes. It really got me down, especially when I spend a lot of time on them and the white marbled one was my fav fish! Ive also got a 20 gallon community to look after so I may be over the top but love it!

Well I know how hard it is to say no when you see a beauty, the temptations are too great. If it wasnt for my girlfriend I would propably have hundreds but she keeps me in check Well I guess you best make room and are ready before any more breeding projects. Can I ask which seller you got your new ones from as Ive been eyeing up a few more lately.

The seller is ferocco80, think they are new on there but have some beautiful fish, got the two boys and two girls for £21 inc postage so it was too good to miss!
Sorry to hear about the girls these things happen, try not to let it get you down, they had a good life with you
