What A Day........

today at 1pm i arrived at a couples house that no longer wanted their 6.5x2x2 brackish set up and at 9.30pm ive just finished setting it up cleaning it and introducing the fish :crazy:

it houses 4 x colombian cat sharks and 2 x archerfish. i didnt pay a single penny for the tank, fx5, fish, skimmer etc etc etc. i cant believe the generosity of the people that i got it from :hyper:

they thought i was doing them a favour as they could no longer look after the fish due to personal reasons and other comitments so i promised to try and take good care of their fish for them. the sharks are about 14-16 inches long and the archers about 7 inches so i would say fully grown now. ill post some pics tomorrow when they are settled.......

they are a brackish species but not sure which yet, i need to have a good look at them and identify them.

the tanks had to go in the garage for now as there is no room in the house, but i have 4 tanks already running in the garage so im in there quite a bit :good:

ill get some pics for you tomorrow simon. its very basic as i removed all of the black sandy stuff and have kept it bare bottomed for now with 2 very large pieces of bogwood that also came with the tank :good:

well it was actually advertised on here a couple of months ago but as it didnt come with a stand the couple had no takers..... also the fact that it came with these large brackish fish must have put people off as they are not easy fish to rehome :crazy:

to be honest im not 100% on the plans yet. i would love to fill it with denisonii barbs and maybe a couple of red spotted sevs with a huge group of cardinals finished off with a few nice plecs.... but at the minute its brackish so i either need to rehome these fish or keep it brackish and maybe add some monos or something :unsure:

the thing is i love planted tanks and cant have this in here due to the high salinity of the tank....

so if anyone knows where i can rehome these beauties let me know :hey:

ive done the discus thing and to be honest as beautifull as they are they just werent for me, walkers has my discus now so i still get to see them now and then :good:

i wouldnt mind a group of angels again though i think a good group of these would look great, i saw some lovely blue angels for sale the other week or maybe altums....

anyway i still have these catsharks and archer fish so im in no position to think about future stocking :no:

if anyone wants or knows anyone that would like the current fish then give me a shout, they will be free as they cost me nothing and they will be doing me a favour in the end :good:
