I wish my class had axolotls they look so cool. They're like underwater lizards just cooler.

Oh my main worry for them is someone will step on them or they will bite someone. I'm almost certain they are snapping turtles.

Turtles are fine outside of water... I bring mine outside on warm days so he can bask in the sun. But it probably freaks them out with all those people, a strange ground, nowhere to hide... etc. Not the nicest to do.

Also 20g is too small for any turtle so yeah you should adopt them and give them a size 200g home lol.

I used to take care of the axolotl at school, his tank started to leak but luckily didn't explode.
I would've loved to have taken him home, but didn't get chance as they got him a new tank

i think i shall fuel your desire for an axolotl for a while

they live in a 95 litre heavily planted tank with co2 injection and a really pretty bubble wall, they have a TT EX1200 and a fluval 205 for filters and an arcatia light unit... they have loads of places to hide&play, they have a good life

That's kinda heavy filtration. Or do they needthat? Are they like species only animals or community types of animals?

only seems heavy untill you see the tank... theyre all on spray bars at the surface.. and pointing toward each other... the result is absolutely crystal clear water with no axes being blown to kingdom come

i was in my science class this morning, first lesson and for some reason i could hear a whining coming from the fish tank... 20 seconds later the entire left side of the tank blew out.......
it turns out that my teacher had put the bracket up on the side of the tank and the heater was almost completely out of the water!

So have I got this right? You are in a science class, so the teacher's a trained scientist, right? And that teacher didn't know that a heater almost fully out of the water was a tragedy waiting to happen?


So where is this school? I just want to avoid sending my kids there!

the tetra is absolutely fascinated by my ottos..... keeps swimmin up to them and trying to stick himself to the tank like them... this is amusing to watch XD
