Weirdest Thing Happened Today!

So I get home from some errands and there is a yellow lab belly up in my hap/peacock tank.
I go to fish him out and his fins are chewed off, his eyes are eaten out, and his innards have been eaten as well.
I know him and another male in the tank have been fighting a bit, could that have been it? I also have a malawi eye biter in there, I don't know if she could have been the cause of it. I know that they haven't been recorded in a home aquarium to actually eat out the eyes but it could be a possibility no?

to hard to tell in the cichlid tank, they always craving for the food and they will eat anything if they were hungry.

Definitely! I've definitely had my fair share of fish die but it's just so weird, this is the first time that's happened and he just completely was torn apart!
