any help is appreciated

I think it's bacterial bloom. Are you overfeeding your fish? What is your WC schedules?

I'm not sure what it is.. but it happens on my java moss and my fish eat it.

mate, you got "hammerfor" on your plants! ;)

It's a bacterial growth, that is collecting detritus. Won't harm your fish, you just need to cut back on the feeding and do more water changes.

the harlequins seem to have eaten it, and yes i think i may have been over feeding, i was worried that my pleco wasn't eating so i was putting a touch extra in each time, its almost all gone now, thanks for the responses
