Noticed last night one of My Albino corys keeps sort of rubbing himself against stuff and when moving across the gravel sort of flips himself onto his side and back. Also noticed that one of My Gouarmis has a tiny whitish red spot just next to his mouth. Any Ideas??? The rest seem fine.

Size of tank in gallons or litres.
How many fish and which type.
Water stats in ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, and ph.
Sounds like it might be a columnaris spot and they are hard to get rid of.
Is it a white spot with a circling of red around the edges, or a red spot with a white centre.

The Spot on the Gourami looks white with a slightish red outline.

Its a columnaris spot and they are quite hard to get rid of.
You will need myxazin and pimafix.
Need to increase aeration in the tank.

I will run pop over to LFS on lunch break. Are these common medications to get. I can increase the filter flow so hopefully that will increase aereation. Also do I just treat the whole tank?

Corys are more prone to bacterial infections then parasites.
Corys do flick now and then.
Just keep a close eye on him.
Check his gills and body to make sure there no excess slime.
If you can't issolate the sick fish, yes treat the whole tank.
Don't like the sound of him flicking onto his back, thats not normal.
Try the bacterial med but it might be to late for the cory.
Good Luck.

Wounds that are white on the edges and red in the center are most typically Aeromonas. Those that are red on the edges and white in the center are generally Columnaris. Both are gram negative bacteria. The best treatment for this is any sulfa antibiotic with trimetheprim. This can be put in the water and mixed with food -- if you can find Romet B use it.

Ok will do cheers. So do I just medicate the whole tank to be on safe side. Also forgot I have 2 tiny frogs in there also if that makes a difference.

The frogs need removing they don't handle meds to well.
Keep an eye on the cory as he dosn't sound right to me.
Corys will lay on there sides if they have a bacterial infection.
Is the cory bloated.

No not that I can see of and he is quite active also. Just seems every now and again will flick his side against something.

See how he goes with the med bless him.
Good luck.

Myxazin by waterlife and pimafix.
Or
Anti internal bacterial med by interpet and pimafix.
You have to use two meds in the uk for columnaris.

Right I managed to pick up Anti Internal Bacteria from Interpet as I could not find the others. This is what I need though yeah?

Also I have one of those white cotton style pads in between my 2 normal sponge pads in my filter. Do I need to remove this. I know I put the black carbon one afterwards but what Do i do with the white one in their at the minute that is used to help give clearer water?

No leave the white pad in.
Its just the black carbon you remove when adding meds.
