I’v had a debate today about wave makers and how I feel they are unnecessary in fresh water and how it’s over kill perhaps like a sump with a chap who insists my tank needs a wave maker .... I know it doesn’t . He proceeded to tell me that I need one without knowing my tank size or stock , without even asking him what he stocked I knew it would be rift lake cichlids and behold he keeps yellow labs and mbuna , he couldn’t comprehend that the fish I keep are South American and all pretty much found in the Orinoco river basin in comparison to the cichlids of lake Malawi who live in a lake possibly bigger than uk (not a fact ) lol , I’m just imagining my geophagus being blew around by a wave maker and someone thinking that’s normal .. please tell me I don’t need a wave maker and this is just a narrow sighted person
