Water Test Results

She's lived through the night but i think one fry has either died or escaped from the net or got eaten

Good to hear shes still alive, the fry could have escaped and probably got eaten.

Never been to fishnfins, dont have one up here.

Test your water again tonight, just to be on the safe side :D

Okay she's still alive but now the male spotty has joined in with the gasping. Okay i tested the ammonia and the last one is really park pee colour but this one is more lighter and more greeny/ yellowy not sure i'll post a picture soon but not now as each time u upload a pic u have to install this thing. Also i'm going pets at home on saturday what fish would ya recommend if the water still okay. 55 gallon. No more guppies their to weak. Also the rest of the fish seem okay and love their new food. (Brine shrimp). Also when will i be able to sex the babies. Their 8 days old now.

Sorry hon, lots going on at home right now.

If the yellow colour is turning greenish, that means you have a trace of ammonia. Is it definatley going green? If so you will need to do another water change.

Dont think you should add fish this weekend, give it at least another week to be on the safe side.

Guppy fry, cant really help you on sexing them as I dont know much about that, but usually the males have the longer tail fins and are more colourful, might be a bit longer before you can tell the differnce.

Thanks puppyjess123 :good:

OK, looks to be, althought the lighting isnt good, that you have traces of ammonia again, so you need to do another 25% water change, also dont keep the previous days test, rinse the tube out well with cold tap water.

I honestly cant tell about the swordtail and whether or not she is pregant, never kept them, maybe ask for more help on that in the livebearer section.

Well if you want to get this tank cycled and do the best for the fish, then yes, water changes are the only way to help. But its your choice hon. You can leave it and test again tomorrow and hope it hasnt risen again?
