Water Test Results

Oh bless your heart, thanks honey :D

Just wish there was more I could do to help, but your doing a really good job, keep it up :D

NO2- 0ppm light blue
Ammonia- 0.25 i think yellowish pee sort of colour lol. I'm condsidering buying ammo lock.
I tested the tap water again and i didn't test it right the tank and tap ammonia tubes are excactly the same. Glowys still gasping.

It should be a yellowish pee colour, sounds like its more 0 to me than 0.25. At 0.25 its a greeny colour. I dont know what to suggest for Glowy, the problems you've had are probably taking their toll, but from the sounds of those tests, its starting to get better.

Try holding the test tube for ammonia against the white card background with the light source (sun/lightbulb) behind you, it gives a better reading.
Have you still got some good aeration in the tank, with the filter flow?

I have a fluval 3 plus on full blast and an air bubbly thing thats circle and one thats like a bar. Also on my API chart thing the 0 ammonia is more of a bright yellow than a peeish colour thats why i though it was 0.25.

Heres the water from the tank. Ammonia tube.

And heres the nirtrate and the 2 ammonia samples 1 from tap 1 from tank.

They are both 0 for ammonia and 0 for nitrIte :good:

All looking good to me. Test again over the next few days, any change in the ammonia or nitrite then start with the water changes again. Hopefully you are over the worst of it. You may still lose some of the fish as they have had a real time of it, but in a few weeks when everything is stable again you should be able to start adding more fish, slowly.

You did a good job, well done :good: :D

Yay so glad i didn't give up. So pee colour is 0 got it. No more water changes! Hooray maybe my female will live to have a batch of fry to join my other ones (week old i gave them a different food for their week old birthday lol). Also when i go next week should i get some stress coat for times like this?

stress coat doesnt do much IMO. Just keep an eye on the water levels and any change for the worse, water changes are the best course of action. If everything stays 0 then just do normal 25% weekly water changes as normal, with a gravel vac, dechlorinator etc and you should be fine.

Ive got my fingers crossed Glowy makes it, let us know how you get on over the next few days, any problems, you know where we are :good:

Yep also i've heard about siphons do i need one of these or can i just use a gravel vac or jug?

P.S Glowy seems like she is really fighting back so i tihnk she might make it! Fingers crossed

the gravel vac is a syphon, so no need to buy anything else.

Glad to hear shes picked up a bit, still keep feeding to once a day for the next week, just to keep that water quality good.:D

Thanks i'll keep ya posted gtg get some footbal boots now stupid P.E
