I have just got a new fish tank it's the aqua expert 70 and holds 70 litres and will post a pic later and I just wanted to know with these water parameters what fish I could have in their it will already have 2 kribensis and 7 rummies.

The water parameters are

Nitrite 0ppm
Nitrate 5.0ppm
Ph 7.4
Ammonia 0ppm
Carbonate 6d
General hardness 8d
Chlorine 0
Thanks for the help

I'm afraid your stocking is already at its limits with the fish you have now.

Really that seems like so little fish in a reasonable sized tank they all used to be in my 40 litre and be perfectly happy so is there anything I could do to fit some more fish in there because I was under the understanding that it was 1 inch of fish per 4 litres of water so 7 x4 = for the rummies and then 5 x 4 = 20 for the kribensis which equals only 48 of the 70 litres filled

Thanks for the advice from Tom

But that guideline only applies to slim bodied fish of less than three inches, adult size, so is not applicable to your kribs, who will grow very deep bodied and chunky

Working to that guideline (which is either 1" of fish per gallon, or 1cm per 2 litres; you shouldn't mix imperial and metric! I have an Imperial brain

) the rummynoses at 2"x7 = 14, plus the kribs at 7" (4" for the male and 3" for the female) gives a total of 21" of fish in a 15 gallon tank...

Anyway, all stocking guidelines are to be taken with a pinch of salt and should not be taken as a 'rule'.

Ok so if I take the rummies out what other fish could i put in there place that are colourful, not to big and interesting to watch and how many could I have of them from Tom

70 litres is 18.5 US gallons so it's 21" of fish in a 18.5 gallon tank (these rules are always referring to US gallons not imperial gallons).

So daize does that mean I can put some more fish in there or is it fully stocked from Tom

I think you are comfortably stocked at the moment.  I agree with Fluttermoth that adding any more could see you running into problems.  From my experience, an overstocked tank means more maintenance work to keep it functioning and clean and you need more filtration.  I prefer to keep a tank comfortably stocked and easy to maintain.  Happy fish, happy owner!
