Hi
Oh my - I just did a water change on my Q tank - the ammonia was up, sadly found a dead shrimp (
Anyway, I pulled the Sting ray filter out to have a look behind it and was pulling bits of leaf off. On the back there is a rectangle shaped slot and what I thought was a leaf turned out to be a poor minnow! He had gone in there for whatever insane fish reason and all I could see was the end of his tail sticking out the slot!
I have put filter sponge in it now, it must have been high and dry out of the water for a good few minutes poor fish!!!
What a stupid design flaw! Fancy putting a handy fish sized slot in the back of a filter for goodness sake!
Thought I would share, hope he doesn't die poor chap. Hopefully others won't have the same nightmare realisation.
Lynn
