Warm & Cold Water

lol just suggesting a fish to keep with them i think there is only a few plecs that are ok in colder water but they are the same as goldfish in tropical tanks they survive but do better in there own prefered set up

argh!!! i get ya now lol was just curious or nosey whichever comes first lol

people keep butterfly plecs in coldwater setups

may well do but it prefers warmer waters!!! so its not ok 2 keep coldwter fish in a tropical setup but it's ok 2 keep tropical fish in coldwater setup? hmmm bit confused now lol oh well prob just me

Other way around. Butterfly plecs are hillstream loaches. They're a cold water fish - they tolerate warm water and are kept in tropical tanks, but prefer cooler water.
