Wanting Loaches Not Sure What Kind.

Hey ppl i have a 75 gallon and was my tank is not for breeding just for visual purposes. I originally fell for clown loaches but from what im reading that may not be the best choice for me. I currently have 7 cichlids and a sailfin pleco. Honestly have no idea if theres any loaches that would do well in this environment? If you know any that would b a good fit for me that would b great!

Is this the tank with your group of unknown, newly rescued cichlids, that look to be at least mostly Rift Valley (Malawi, Tanganyika)? If so, stay away from loaches, the cichlid aggression and the hard water will do them no favours at all.

Wait and see what IDs come up for the cichlids, find out what is suitable for your tank with ~4 females per male for each species and see where things stand after that. You may have room for a social Synodontis group (eg. multipunctata; lucipinnis; petricola) that come from lake Tanganyika.

no i have a 75 and a 55 gallon if these unknown fish are all compatible and once the tank is fully stocked i want to start filling the other one. Im hoping for angels maybe discus in the other tank and but im really interested in loaches and im trying to make sure i have the water parameters and decor right in the other tank all taken care of b4 i start stocking.
