Want Some New Fish.......

So i have a 110litre tank and while I'm waiting for my nano fluvial to settle and be ready to stocked i wanted to get some fish for my main community tank.

It has sand substrate 4 amazon sword plants, 1 beckettii crypt and 1 medium-large java fern. and one feature piece of wood.
Currently stocking it i have 4 tiger barbs and 3 zebra loaches. The tigers are so calm it is untrue, I'm unsure if they even know they are tigers lol

I would like to get some colour into the tank, i can't remember if the guys at the LFS said that dwarf chichlids would be ok?
But anyway open to suggestions!

i expect dwarf cichlids would be fine, but you'd have to check you had no nippers.
I have dwarf gourami, they are VERY friendly and don't cause any trouble, and are colourful

You could have a pair of Kribs, but that would be it for the bottom of the tank, they're lovely to look at, but can be nasty little gits when breeding. Tiger Barbs would be fine with them, as they are mid-high level swimmers. Not sure how they would get on with the loaches. Not well i would bet. I think to get any sort of dwarf Cichlid in there (cave dwellers mainly) you would need to re-home anything that lives on the bottom of the tank.

10-15 Cherry or Tiger Barbs

Just need something for the middle.....

I like both kribs and rams but would increase your tiger barbs to 10-12

Yes i have been thinking about increasing the tiger barb number. But the 4 that i have seem so docile lol.
Would rams and kribs be ok with the planting i have, they won't be munching them all up?

Kibs and/or Rams will be fine, they are small and non-destructive. Go for a pair of either.

"They will nibble at live plants" Kribs, really? I don't know if i can be replacing all my plans every couple of months lol. Already noticed a few holes appearing in my amazon swords, I'm guessing from my zebra loaches

Who said that! They won't nibble at your plants.....unless you don't feed them

. I would guess the holes in your Swords are more likely that those leaves are dying and need pruning. Kribs and Rams are super little fish IMO...... you would love them for sure

Yes i think i will be popping to the LFS this weekend to grab me a pari of Kribs i think, since the girlfriend likes them more than the rams .
Also going to pick up a few more tigers for the pack and some guppies or tetra for the fluvial nano thats just been setup in the bedroom

Kribs will eat plants, i've got 7 and they are always nibbling away at new leaves stopping some of my plants from filling out. xD

Bah! puts me in a dilemma then as my plants are nay 3 weeks in the tank and have only just started to fill out
