Wait....silica Sand Is Ok Right?

Well it was all dandy until some people said that the pool filter and play sand silica sand was not safe or could cause problems for freshwater tanks...

I just bought 2 50lb bags of pool filter inert, 100% pure medium grain silica sand....this is OK to use with soft body fish and in the aquarium in general right?

it just stopped me in my tracks before i started to clean it...and take pictures for my tank journal....so any quick responses welcome!

Also where should i put my tank journal thread?

Yep, it will be fine.

You can put the thread in the aquarium and fish picture forum. Or if its going to be planted then put it in the planted journals sub section in the planted forum.
