Veg for a plec? What is best? How can I feed peas to them as I have heard that is a good idea? I have been putting in algae flakes and vegetable flakes but just want to spice it up a bit :)

My bristlenose goes nuts for cucumber. I just slice a good chunk, weigh it down, chuck it in and he'll munch it until its gone!

Blanched courgette, broccoli stalk, green beans, my Oto's love those, sure the plec will too

Courgette for me, they demolish it, but you can elave it in longer than cucumber, it falls apart less.

So how would I cook peas, I will get courgette tomorrow for sure. Also he is a pit bull plec which I have since learnt needs friends (rookie mistake) and they are little plecs, plan to get bristlenose in the future sooooo need to get Mr pit bull a friend or two but not wanting to add anything for a couple weeks will he be okay until then?

Anyhoos peas, how to cook them? I have frozen ones in the freezer should I cook them until soft or will they be okay popped in like they are? :)

Not sure how you'd sink them for a bottom feeder, but for my platys I cook & deshell them

Ohhh just found cucumber (oh bought some for his salad for tonight so I stole some ;) ) took a little bit popped a spoon through it to weigh it down and away we go, how do I get him on it though?

There's not much nutritional value in cucumber, but for a treat they love it..
He'll soon find it
