I decided a couple of days ago to drop off at least 20+ guppy fry at my local dentist, since they were interested in adding some to their at least 50 gallon tank. Most of the fry are at least 5 months old, and are very colorful. They are a mix of Blue Diamond and Yellow Dragon Head. A lot of them are a bright scarlet color (orange/red), and it interested a couple of children at the dentist. But, within half an hour of putting them in, 2 people asked if the guppies were for sale... I just thought that it was strange, but if you want to see what I'm talking about, I happened to keep one of the fry. Are they valuable, or just eye candy? (Also, sorry if the pictures are blurry or large, I took them on my phone so that I could show my friends. Also, they look orange in the picture, but they are actually a scarlet color.)

Their technically a half black guppy, good size for 5 months old and as for value I would say their worth more than the pet shop's as you know how old they are and are cared for and in local water. UK shop would pay about 50p-£1 each in US $ it would be about $1.50 I'm guessing.

Show guppies though can get 20-30 time that value though.
