US Medications -Antibiotics/Anti Parasites etc

I've found a US website that will ship medications such as Maracyn 1 and 2, Jungle Internal Parasite Guard etc to the UK.

Would anyone be interested in:

1) Buying some with me so we'd save on the shipping, or
2) If I bought the larger sizes of everything, buying things off me as and when you needed them

Just wondering cos the postage for the Maracyn x 24 is the same as for the MAracyn x 100 - seems a shame to give money to the post office if we didn't need to.

I used to do a fair amount of international shipping. I would recommend just getting pills and skipping any liquid meds like Melafix due to weight.

Thank you Betta Momma, you're a gem!! I was going to get Maracyn1 x 100, Maracyn 2 x 100, Jungle Pepso medicated food 1oz x 4 and Jungle Parasite Clear 8 tabs x 4. Total for goods was $86.73 and shipping was another $47.00.

Only trouble is I don't know what the weights are, so it would be difficult for you to work out. Umm.... If you happen to be going shopping where you could pick that stuff up, let me know and I will paypal you the money beforehand, but don't do any special shopping or anything, or you will make me feel very guilty!

Breakdown on the costs was

Maracyn 1 x 100 tablets $33.71
Maracyn 2 x 100 tablets $34.56
Jungle Parasite Clear x 8 tablets $2.63
Jungle Pepso medicated food $1.99

I don't know if this is reasonable or not for US prices. Over here you just can't get antibiotics or internal parasite stuff for fish, it doesn't exist. Not fair!

Here's the deal.
All the stores I've been at only sell Maracyn and Maracyn 2 in packs of 24 maximum. I'm going to call tomorrow to a few stores and speak with ordering managers to see if I could order them in 100 packs for you.

Just FYI - to buy them right off the shelf in the 24 packs costs around 15$ for both the maracyn and the 2.

The other 2 products I haven't been able to find here in the US yet.

In regards to shipping - the tablets are really lightweight and small, so I'd be able to get them in a regular sized fedex box, and I estimated it'd be under 4 lbs... SO.... the cost would have been 70$ but since I get such a great discount here at work, it worked out to be about 28$.

I'll get back on tomorrow and post about what I found out with the 100 tablet packs and how much they cost!

Okay, SOOO...
I talked to my lfs today.
Here's the prices for me for meds that they would be able to get:

Maracyn (100 tablets) 57$
Maracyn 2 (100 tablets) 59$
and shipping would be about 30$

They didn't have either of the other 2 meds.
with the shipping and cost, the total would be 146$ USD, so given the fact that you can get these 2 meds, plus your other 2 products (including shipping) for 133.73$, you would actually be paying more to get them from me.

It was a good idea, but wouldn't really balance out to saving you money unless a WHOOOOOLE mess of people went together and ordered stuff so more stuff got shipped, but the cost of shipping won't go up that much just because the pills weigh next to nothing.

Okay, so it would be cheaper to go with Pets-Warehouse. If anyone wants anything let me know. It's cheaper to buy Maracyn 1 and 2 in 100's, but I'd be happy to split them into 25's and just copy the instructions if people wanna go with that.
