Urinating In The Tank

well if i were to stand on the sofa i would need to shoot about 4' to get it into my tank, and then thats a 4' shot into an opening about 3" x 12"

that would be a good shot if it went in.


So does anyone actually know whats in a fishes urine and whats in a humans?
How much would one "add" to the tank?

I dont think i could do it safely, theres probably alot of stuff in my urine thats bad cause i smoke, drink on occasion, and smoke some other stuff.

Ok so there still isn't really a set answer on weather or not its worth it.

But where does one purchase pure ammonia.

Oh and i dont know who said it, but i never said there was bacteria in urine, or that it added bebeficial stuff to the water.
i said due to the fact that urine contains more than just ammonia, would this not cause other benefical bacteria to grow in the tank to remove these other "toxins" present in urine, things which would not be present in ammonia only??

I'm sorry I must have misread your post and thought you were saying there was bacteria IN the urine. My mistake.

I got my 1.8L bottle of ammonia from Superstore. You have those out east? It was something like $2. It didn't say specifically that it was pure, but I read somewhere that if you shake it and it doesn't make bubbles then its ok. Anyhow, I have used it for cycling and the fish aren't dead yet. Hope that helps.
