Urgent Help Needed! Large Koi Dieing!

well im just guna scoff some food

then do some more water checks

and try and trick the carp into having a portrait taken.

i mean the guy at the aquatic center said ti was def a paracite... and he had no reason to lie as i had allready bought meds from him so it wasnt as if he was trying to sell me anything.

soooo idk

will check stats could do with amonia test and theremomiter though tbh

Looking under sitting on the bottom, and slime desease.
They do have a parasite, just hope the med is strong enough, as flukes can take some geting rid of as they are nasty things.

Have you added any salt as it good fors stress.

thats exactly what they do sit on the bottum uintill i lob food in or lean over pond and disturb them or w/e thing is the goldfish are doing the oposite... floatng about and not really swimming just hudling together.

i was just thinking about the salt tbh... will it affect meds?

will it burn the sterlet?

Salt will burn scaless fish, i would ask in the coldwater section black angel is good.
As i'm no good on type of pond fish.

Just pm her here, she nice, spoken to her so she won't mind you pm her.

strange behavier, this cant be right?

best portrait i could get, the white marks are around the mouth idk if you can see them.

idk if im just being paranoid about the red on this fish?

Hmmm also just noticed that the big on the back of the carp that i thought was a scale coming off seems to have apeared in the same place on the other side also. :S like a white bit with fluf....

That fish does look bad, if it has red patches and its not the fish colour whats left the fish has septicemia, to be honest your best bet is a vet to inject them with antibiotics.
Plus if the fish have fluff on them it's columnaris and it's bacterial, i think i would phone a vet, as columnaris if a deadly strain can wipe the pond out.

URAGHAGH that sounds like it will dramatically hurt the wallet :S

why oh why did i take on this pond building it a new filter etc. would have been easier to just leave it with dirty water and not see what the fish are doing

poor fish :(

You need to get them antibiotics fast, as you are going to lose a far few fish in that pond, this was what i was scared off, as i knew you needed to get going with a bacterial med, but it want do much good now more than likely the interpet med won't be strong enough.

http://article.discusnews.com/cat-02/columnaries.shtml

I think i would go and get that bacterial med, you might lose some as they will be weak and not tolerate it, but at this moment in time there nothing to lose.

i cant afford it i spent all the money i had spare on the antiparasite. Im flat out broke now :(

think im going to cry tbh

Ok, good luck.

Been following this thread, very worrying. Please let us know how your fish are getting on, a lot of people will want to know.

spoke to the guy at the aquatic center , the guy i spoke to who took a scrapeing from the dead orf wasnt there, but he assured me that the other guy knew what he was on about (he has been working with fish well over 30 years and 18 years of that i can vouch for) he also said it may be 10 days till i see an improvement as even though int he 5 days of treatment the interpet stuff will knock the stuffing outa the parasites the damage has still been done, and they will need some time to fight off infection ( especialy this being the hottest week of the year)

anyhow we have a new symptom the black fish has developed this (ignor the white bit on his side he has had a tumour for well over 15 years now and it hasnt changed in apearence etc and he still eats happily)

just about to get the silt in the top filter cleaned out as i have been told it can make the meds job harder.
