Took in a few fish which may have been in poor condition, filthy tank etc 2 days ago. Angel seemed OK at first but found it dead when I came home last night. Just noticed my adult dalmation molly attacking the other 2 angels viciously. Could the molly have killed the first angel and will it kill the other two? If yes, neeed to separate them ASAP tonight

Tank cycled and well established more than six months. All fish healthy, rarely have any deaths. Maybe the dead angel was sick or highly stressed as those fish were in poor condition in filthy water when I took then in. However, I have seen the molly viciously attack and bite both angels tonight. Angels are both wimps and made no effort to fight back or even escape which is rare for a cichlid. These are my first angels and have no experience of them. By the way, these two other angels are healthy from a caring owner with good clean water and I only got them tonight.

If you want to keep the angels and let's face it they are nice fish, then I think you'll have to separate them from the molly. Are the angels big, adult size?

Higly doubt it, the other way round i would say, the angels must of been stressed.

Distracted the molly with food just before lights out last night =floating flakes and sinking bloodworm pellets to give angels a break. They seem OK today and have finally come to the top to eat. Molly haas stopped attacking them, maybe she was just asserting her territorial rights as the biggest fish in the tank
