Unknown Gourami?

Can anyone tell me what type of gourami this is , it was bought as a thick lipped gourami but i thought it was a honey gourami. But there seems to be alot of confusion of what it actually is
Also does anyone know how to sex these??

I think it is a female honey gourami. The body shape looks different that a thick lipped gourami. For sexing, females are not as colorful and have rounded fins compared to the males.

are you able to show me a picture of a male and female, so i can see the difference please? Also, do you know if the central band of brown kinda spots mean anything? Thanx

if it is full grown and is no bigger than an inch it will be a honey dwarf gourami, (at least a colour variety of that). If the fish is 2 inches or so long it will be an Indian thicklip gourami.
Looks like a female whatever it is.

its a couple of inches but i think its fully grown!

looks like a female honey gourami of the yellow/gold variety this site has a good pic of a yellow male http/images.google.com/imgres?imgurl=htt...2005-44,GGLG:en I have a female just the same with the markings on her side.
