I think it's time I give up on my current fish. :( It's not a decision I came to lightly. For those that haven't been following, I've been having parasite issues with them. I just cant seem to beat it. And right now I'm having physical issues and I just can't deal with even trying to maintain the tanks let alone treat them. So...Soon, my tetras and one guppy will be put down. I will try to save my super calico bristlenose pleco though. She's in a ten gallon right now. I think I can take care of that. But these tanks need broken down and bleached and what not. And I don't want to see the fish suffer any more. (Currently I have a glowlight tetra that bloated on a fasting day....). So yeah....I also don't want to risk contaminating my big tank project which is on hold for now.

Anyway...I hate this decision. No I don't have a local fish store or anybody to give them to for treatment. This is the last straw, especially because of my physical issues going on right now. I will start again but not right now.

I hate to hear that. Can you not just get some fish meds and try that. A lot of people don't like fish meds, but at this point for you, what can it hurt? And it might work. In the past I have used Melafix and Pimafix with success. You can use them both at the same time. It would be worth a try.

Sorry, guess I should have added that. I have tried medicines. Different ones at different times. Melafix and pimafix aren't for parasites so wouldn't help me there. That's one of the reasons I said this was the last straw. There are like three different things crawling around inside the tanks except the pleco tank. Only one flatworm looking thing in there which I hope the prazipro I bought will kill those. As for the other things...I don't know. I've tried dog dewormer, no planaria, general cure....Nothing has worked. The fish don't show signs until bloating or dropsy and then death....Something is messing with their insides. I never had a problem for the most part until these things started showing up. And I don't want the fish to suffer.
