So valis and led lighting is a no go?

Reason I have to go for the led lights is due to the lack of space above the tank.

Any one? I have some spare time over the weekend so hope to atleast get the plant and lighting sorted out.

Vallis does OK in low light planted tanks. Just ensure the white part of the bottom of the plant above the substrate.

I currently have small black gravel at the bottom of the tank, will it be ok planted in that?

it should be fine, after all Vallis is a weed and should grow anywhere. Make sure you get some pics up.

ok cheers... would you got for a white led strip? or a tube?

personally, i'd go for a tube as i'd know what watt (lol) it is. Though LED's do look goood in a tank.
