Under-Over-Stocking

Hi guys just wondering how many fish is best suited for the size of the tank ...its 30 gallons
(4ft x 1ft x 15in)

I have

1) White top afra
2) Convicts
1) Siamese Fighter (female)
1) Red Tail Shark
6) Neon Tetras was 10 but they been fighting each other which i didnt think would happen.

Ive had all of the fish from very young age so they all get along.

i have 2 tubes for the undergravel filter + u4 filter

I know there is not a real answer for this question but as im newish to this fish hobby i thought some of you might be able to tell me from past xp.

Any thoughts would be good.

I think the Shark will grow too big for the tank - you would need something closer to 55-60gallons for one of those. They also turn very aggressive as they get older.

Rehome the cons, or the rest of the fish.

Yeah the Convicts are very aggresive fish, and could kill off the rest of your stocking. Despite getting on with the rest of your fish, one day they could just turn on them.
Plus judging by the dimensions I think your volume will be a little more than 30gallons more like 40(us)gallons.

Sorry to say it, but I think this is a really bad mix of fish.

As has been said above, the Convicts will get very aggressive.
When the shark gets bigger, it will get aggressive too.

Both of the above will be a a danger to the Neons, and possibly the fighter.

The afra is a Malawi Cichlid and shouldn't be kept in a general community. They should be kept with other Mbuna which have similar water and dietary requirements.
