a couple of years ago i came across a website that gave details of the source and quality of the tap water for each area of the uk, i have just tried to find that site again but have forgotten what it was called. does anyone here know of such a website

Only thing I can think of is to look on the United Utilities website.

or... you could google "Uk tap water quality by area" and the first link is for anglian water's website, and they will also link you to your own area's website if you use their search.

Does no one search for anything anymore? lol

Find out who your water supplier is. On there website it will have a page where you put your postcode in and it will then tell you about the water for your area.

i found the info i was looking for thanks.... well sort of, the website i found before had much more detail. but as i was in a rush this morning before work i couldnt search properly. the website i was looking for was something to do with the environment agency so i will do a more thourough search now
