Twin Juwel's New Look

very nice tanks, both of them, but you do know that the fronta and your american cichlids need different water perameters.... :good:
dany

Please could you explain the differences, thx

Should add, bought them at the same time from my lfs, and they were all together in the same tank.

well its what i was saying about them being african.

african cichlids prefer a much higher PH than normal and thats why there kept in species tanks (only with other african cichlids).

ive seen a few people with fronts in with oscars and parrots before tho so i think you should be ok.

he mite get a bit too big for your tank tho with the parrot and sev. think there slow growers tho.

Duh, sorry, see what you're saying now. The water in this area in pretty hard/high normally anyway - did check this with the lfs when I bought them, and they have the same parameters in their tanks.

Had them all for about 6 months or so now, and they're doing really well - as for the Frontosa's growth, she's not grown too much since arrival, and I have a suitable larger home when the time's right.

Thanks
Kim :good:

Whats your LFS where the gravel came from. is it a chain?

They've got 2 shops here...

Birchwood Aquatic Centre in Swanley, Kent; and

Keston Aquarium set up in Wyevale Garden Centre in Keston, Kent (believe they've got a store in Hampshire if that's any good, see http://www.wyevale.co.uk/ )

Hope that helps :)

wow the new look is ace :good: i bet the fish love it!

Thanks Caino - they do seem to prefer it. My Angel's in one tank are spawning, and some of the Malawi's are holding fry at the moment, so finger's crossed.

How's your tank going - looking good from what I've seen.
