ok i understand where your coming from okhow bout these dominsions 36x24x16I'm not going to say your wrong, in fact your right, an adult painted turtle may be able to fit in that tank.When I say fit, I mean you would pretty much have to wrestle it in and it wouldn't be able to move at all after.The animal should be able to turn round, and have adequate land and water area. This makes a 6'x2'x2' the minimum IMO.No way to keep an animal. You cannot keep a painted turtle in a tank of those dimensions, unless it's temporary and you intend to upgrade it.
