Turtle In Tank

Ok. I would really like to get turtles to add to my tank. The fish I have are:
-2 swordtails
-5 neon tetras
-2 yoyo fish
-2 gouramis
-3 tiger barbs

I have sand and live plants. I will have to make a basking area. Is it possible to add one or two small turtles to my tank. I'm only worried about the waste I will get.

if i were you i would be worried on which fish the turtle decides to eat first (probably neons)

totally agree with other comments, the turtles will eat your fish,

Not really with the neons & swords, you could get away with a mississippi map with the others, I have kept my map with fish, he now just lives with a plec. To keep a turtle and fish you must be very up on your wc and have excellent filtration as turtles are very messy

if you want turtles set up a proper turtle tank -don't put them in fishtank
I keep turtles but in separate tanks. Even fairly small 12cn turtles will eat dried fish and shrimps, part of their diet. Terta wil just be a snack and they also eat plants, from lettuce to duckweed, again part of a healthy turtle diet. As far as mess goes, they are 100X worse than a common plec. I change the water in their feeding tank daily. I really wouldn't keep any turtles except 10p size hatchlings....and don't for
get baby turtles grow into large adults within a year so will soon need a large tank of their own.
