Tub Of Water Okay For Fish?

I have like 20 adult black convicts that were once fry and have grown up. I was curious, I have a big blue toy tub in my garage and was wondering if I filled it with water and got the water right and all, would it be okay to put the convicts in?

Yeah that would be just fine. Make sure there are no chemicals in it or left in residue. People use large blue vats and tubs to raise small discus fry all the time, so it should be just fine.

Clean it very, VERY thoroughly. 1 part bleach to 19 parts water and rinse in very hot water several times.
