Tropical Fish Food Query

I do some carp fishing in my spare time, using lots of pellets and boilies as my main fish bait. I was just wondering if this kind of fish food was acceptable in a tropical fish tank?

the bait used in carp fishing is perfect for them, containing all the right stuff to help make them grow etc. Not all the bait is eaten by the carp, other species of fish tuck in too, like roach, tench and bream. I cant see why it wouldnt be safe for tropical?

I agree I can't see it doing any harm, aslong as the tropical fish are receiving other types of food aswell for a varied diet

Things like boilies are high in protein and fats (hence why most carp now have massive stomachs instead of the more stream line shape they used to have) So i would stay clear of them. Quite a few catfish and bottom feeders will take plain trout pellets but the only problem ive found with them is the expand alot so if a fish tuks into it just after they have gone in it swells up huge in there stomach for a fed hours which cant be to good for them. I think its best to stick to aquarium fish food because there actually designed for the fish's health and to give them what they need rather than to attract the fish in like alot of fishing baits are for.
