Well, recently after I heard that they revamped it, I decided that I wanted to pay the seattle aquarium another visit. I came back with some pics! Just keep in mind that these pics were taken on my sidekick because I forgot my camera. Now for the pics.

I have no clue as to what puffer this could be, but it was roughly 2.5' long(yes, thats feet)

Again, thanks for looking and sorry about the bad quality pictures. And if anyone knows what kind of puffer that is, please help me ID it.

Very nice pics. Nice photos of the fish.

Very nice pics. Nice photos of the fish.

Nice pics :good:

The only puffer that will reach 2.5ft (that I know of) Is the MBU puffer Tetraodon mbu

Cheers,

Maximus

The fourth pic is adef a tang of some sort, not sure of the species though. Great fish though, large aquariums are so interesting :good:

I haven't gotten down there in ages (I'm about 100 miles north)... used to have a membership, and it was a bi weekly trip to go there and Beths (A greasy spoon diner for those not in the area) just to wander around and drool at some of their tanks.

PS I'm a hopeless gearhead, and always curious to meet people offline so if you ever have a car project going on and need a spare hand on weekends.. it's so much nicer NOT working on one of my cars..

I've been to that aquarium a few times.. I've posted pics of those cowfish before too..

Funny looking little buggers..

Don't recall seeing any cuttlefish last time I was there though.. nice pics!

nice photos :good: that puffer is big, would not want to stick my hand in there to clean the tank :)

Thanks for all the compliments people! The sturgeon was extremely large and amazing, he was in the giant dome tank along with schools of large salmon, groupers, and some type of shark. I was most amazed by the puffer though, it is the largest I've ever seen. I'm sure he would have loved my hand for lunch  I finally found an ID for him. Diodon Hystrix, AKA the Spot-Fin Porcupine fish according to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spot-fin_porcupinefish .On a second note, I would love to try my hand at keeping a Cowfish sometime :D
