DJ, please don't use soap when you wash your hands. Soap is good for cleaning but its not good for fish. AlexF and shrimper can laugh all they want but you had a good question and I hope you got the answer that you needed.

That's exactly the same reason you should only use brand new buckets for your tank stuff; any combination of fish and any kind of soap/detergents is a no-no.
