Too Much Filtration?

Your best bet would be some sort of divider. Hot water should make the plastic lid thing clear of most soap residue.

As PyroBit said though, it's flow that is the issue. I think the U2 would have been a better selection for this sized tank with the stock you have.

+2, you cant over filter, you can just make a washing machine of your tank.

The U3 has adjustable flow, i have it on a U2.

On the top is a dial, if you turn in to "B" it will switch the outlet to the mid flow vertical spray bar, which is much softer. I hear the planted guys with smaller tanks love it. Personally i prefer to just point the top outlet straight at the surface from about 2" under..

Hope this helps.

+3, as said before you can't over filter. Just turn the flow down abit and it will be good.

Thanks again for all the advice. I might just downgrade to the u2 as I can't really adjust the flow much more.

Can't seem to find any suitable divider for the gourami and betta so will just have to leave them and hope for the best. If the lfs let's me take the gourami back, what should I swap it for? Also am I able to add more fish at some point?
